Old carpet out—and the included material hauled away
Glued carpet does not peel up like ordinary stretched carpet. The backing can split, small pieces can stay behind, and old adhesive may still be on the floor afterward. We will explain what the removal includes and what your flooring installer may still need to do before the new floor goes down.

What matters at a Darien property

Some tiles lift cleanly. Others split or leave backing and glue behind.
Work after removal
Grinding, glue removal, leveling, and moisture work are separate unless your estimate specifically includes them.
What to send for a free estimate
- Send a close photo of a lifted corner if one is already exposed.
- Tell us whether the floor underneath is concrete, wood, or unknown.
- Share the approximate room size and the path to the nearest exit.
- Ask your new flooring installer how clean and smooth the floor needs to be.
