Ask exactly what is being removed
Go through carpet, padding, tack strips, staples, transitions, glued backing, loose pieces, and haul-away one item at a time. The word removal does not always mean the same thing to every company.

- Is any furniture moving included?
- Do you haul everything away?
- How are unexpected conditions handled?
- What will the floor look like when you leave?
Ask what may still be there
Find out whether old glue, staples, damage, dust, or floor-preparation work may remain for the owner or flooring installer.
Ask about access and communication
Confirm who will meet the crew, where they can park, when work is allowed, how daily cleanup works, and how you will be contacted if the carpet hides a problem.
